A/B testing
Your A/B tool says: variant B wins. But does it win revenue?
Most testing tools measure clicks on a button. usertrax measures whether more money actually arrives – against the same conversion data your channel attribution runs on.

Why A/B tests so often produce nonsense
The wrong metric
Variant B gets 20% more clicks on “Add to cart” – and 5% fewer orders, because it pulls the wrong people into the funnel. Optimising for micro-conversions means optimising past revenue.
Two tools, two truths
Your testing tool counts conversions differently from your tracking. You end up with two numbers that don't match and no decision you can defend.
The price
Enterprise tools ask €500 a month and up – for features a five-person team will never touch. With usertrax, A/B testing is included from the Starter plan.
How a test runs
Define the variant in the dashboard
You set which element on which URL changes how, and how traffic is split. No second script, no deployment.
The script applies it
The same tracking script already on your site serves the variant – before the page becomes visible, so nothing flickers.
Measure against real conversions
The goal isn't a click but the conversion your shop or CRM actually reports – revenue included. usertrax calculates statistical significance and tells you when the test is conclusive.
What's included
Statistical significance
usertrax tells you when a result is trustworthy – instead of letting you optimise for noise after three days.
Revenue as the target
Test against orders and revenue, not button clicks. Including conversions that only close later in your CRM.
No flicker
The variant is applied before the page renders. Visitors never catch a glimpse of the original.
Attribution included
You see not only which variant wins, but which channel the visitors came from where it wins.
Honest answers
- Do you have a visual editor?
- No. Variants are defined in the dashboard via selectors and content, not by drag-and-drop on the live page. If you want to rebuild landing pages without touching code at all, a CRO tool like Varify serves you better. usertrax is for people who already know what they want to test – and would rather not pay a second subscription starting at €149 for the privilege.
- Does A/B testing slow down my site?
- The script is 4 kb and loads asynchronously. For tests that change visible elements, the variant is applied before rendering – that costs a few milliseconds and prevents the usual flicker.
- How long does a test need to run?
- It depends on your traffic and the size of the effect you expect. usertrax continuously shows whether the result is significant yet. As a rule of thumb: at least two full weeks so weekday effects average out, and at least a few hundred conversions per variant.
Test what makes money – not what gets clicked.
A/B testing is included in every plan. Even the smallest one.
