Why classic surveys fall short
Too late, wrong audience
Email surveys reach buyers with a working checkout – not the people bouncing right now. On-page catches the moment.
One open widget isn't enough
Open feedback is gold. Sometimes you need NPS after purchase, a short checkout question, or a survey mid-landing-page.
Without targeting it feels like spam
URL rules, delay, sampling and exit intent show the right question at the right time – not on every click.
How it works
Build the survey in the dashboard
Pick questions (NPS, free text, multiple choice), choose popup or inline, set triggers – done.
Script is already there
Surveys run inside feedback.js. Popups use triggers; inline uses a data attribute or usertraxSurveys.mount().
Answers with context
See NPS score, distributions and free text in the dashboard – optionally linked to the tracker session and channel.
What makes it different
Popup and inline
Auto-triggered popups or embedded in page content – whichever fits the question.
Hotjar-style triggers
URL targeting, delay, % sampling and exit intent – without cookie banners or session recording.
Same embed as Feedback
No second script, no second subscription. Feedback and surveys can run side by side.
From Pro
Surveys are included from Pro (and trial) – alongside Feedback and ad export.
FAQ
- Do I need an extra script?
- No. Surveys ship in feedback.js – the same embed as the feedback widget. You enable and configure them in the dashboard.
- How is this different from Feedback?
- Feedback is the open widget (rating, comment, screenshot). Surveys are targeted questionnaires with their own questions, triggers and analytics – including inline embedding.
- Does it set cookies?
- No. Cooldown and sampling use localStorage. There is no session recording and no mouse heatmaps – only answers visitors submit.
